About Me
Hi, I’m April 👋
I am a nonprofit development and marketing professional on a mission to help small-to-mid-sized organizations build foundations that can’t be broken.
Originally from the US Midwest, I spent 20 years in the Pacific Northwest, where I served for over a decade as a Development and Marketing Director for several different nonprofits. Having worked in-house across multiple organizations, I’ve learned exactly how to turn authentic storytelling and email marketing into meaningful relationships and organizational capital.
I know the mental load that nonprofit leaders carry. When the world feels loud and unstable, your mission deserves a foundation that doesn't shake. I don’t just offer strategy; I offer execution. I am the partner who builds the framework so you can get back to the heart-work of your mission.
My Superpowers:
Engineering Retention: I specialize in engineering your entire relationship pipeline to drastically reduce donor churn. I recently helped a client move from a 33% donor retention rate to a top-tier 66%.
Driving Efficiency: My last three $100K campaigns delivered a 5,900% ROI. I make the process painless, providing you with the tools to establish stability for years to come.
Reclaiming Bandwidth: I build the systems that turn "fundraising dread" into sustainable growth, giving you back the mental space to lead.
A New Perspective
I recently moved abroad with my family, and working internationally gives me a unique, objective vantage point. I’ve watched the recent challenges facing our community from afar, and it has only sharpened my resolve to help leaders back home streamline, stabilize, and grow.
The Adventure
When I’m not tidying up a CRM or drafting a 12-week campaign, I’m navigating life abroad with one bearded man and our three growing kids. Life is an adventure, and I believe fundraising should be part of that joy - not a source of dread.
I’ll build the framework.
You do the heart-work.
Let’s get started.
Are we a fit?
I think we’d make a great team if:
You are ready for 'New': You’re looking for innovative strategies that break out of the "we’ve always done it this way" box.
You value momentum: You are responsive and ready to hit "go" when the strategy is set.
You are a partner, not a passenger: You’re looking for a high-level guide to steer the ship, but you’re still motivated to keep the engine running.
You’re growth-oriented: You want a lean, cost-effective approach that delivers high impact without the bloat of a traditional agency or full-time staff member.
